How IAM Devices Work

Personal identity devices that connect to your KastKard profile

What are IAM Devices?

IAM (I Am) devices are NFC-enabled cards or tags that are linked to your personal KastKard profile. When someone taps your IAM device with their phone, they're automatically directed to your public profile page where they can view and save your contact information.

Others tap your device with their NFC-enabled phone to instantly access your profile.

Save Contact

Your contact information is displayed and can be saved directly to their phone's contacts.

Getting Started with IAM Devices

Create Your Account

Start by registering for a KastKard account at /kk/auth/login

• Enter your email address and personal information
• Check your email for a confirmation message
• Click the verification link in the email
• Set your account password when prompted

Set Up Your Profile

After email verification, you will be automatically redirected to /kk/profile/

• Update your personal information and contact details
• Set your custom alias (e.g., "johnsmith" for kastkard.com/iam/johnsmith)
• Upload a profile photo if desired
• Configure your public profile visibility settings

Register Your NFC Device

In the profile page, find the "NFC Tags" section and click "Add NFC Chip"

• Select NFC Type as "IAM" in the modal popup
• Enter your Device ID (provided with your NFC device purchase)
• Enter your Record ID (also provided with your NFC device)
• Confirm and save your device registration

Start Sharing Your Profile

Your IAM device is now ready to use! Others can tap it to visit your profile.

• When tapped, visitors go to kastkard.com/iam/your-alias
• They can view and save your contact information
• Profile updates are reflected instantly on all your devices
• You can add multiple IAM devices to the same profile
